People who say New York doesn’t sleep haven’t visited Lahore yet.

Lahore is the most iconic and happening city of Pakistan. They say in Punjabi (local language of Lahore); ‘He who has not seen Lahore is not even born yet.’

Legend has it that Loh, son of Rama, the hero of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana, founded it about 4,000 years ago. However, historically, it has been proved that Lahore is at least 2,000 years old. After Islam came to South Asia, it became the center of learning, and attracted some of the region’s greatest mystics, writers and artists. After independence, Lahore became the capital city of the most populated province of Pakistan; Punjab. Punjab means the land of five rivers.

Allama Iqbal International Airport is located about 20-30 minutes from the city centre. Taxis and shuttles are available to take passengers from the city to the airport. The new proposed Lahore Orange line is linked from different parts of the city to the airport.

Lahore is one of the liveliest cities of Pakistan. From the historic walled city, to majestic Mughal structures and mosques, Lahore offers amazing heritage and rich history. It covers more than 30 landmarks; beginning at the Gaddafi Stadium (Liberty Chowk) in the south-east of the city and ending in the north-west, at the Minar-e-Pakistan.
